panorama life

Our first weekend fell over Memorial Day and it was a hot one!  We were busy, the house was dusty, and Kevin had some music stuff going on.  So Saturday I took the boys to see our wonderful in-laws for a break.  We visited, the kids had a blast in a familiar space, and I even got a pedicure.

Very nice recovery after one of the hardest. weeks. ever.  But by then we were very proud of all the progress we were making, even having Internet and the new range installed in the kitchen.  We hung the old mirror from the Beglanes and saw lots of lightning bugs outside the in the evenings.  We got a glimpse of pretty sunsets over the red barn across the street.  We had a happy visit from our neighbor-friends and also from my devoted law school friends who came to grill burgers with us and play under the shade tree.

We've had some fun taking panorama shots to capture the landscape, since that helps remind us why we are here and doing this crazy thing.

The boys are still loving sharing a room, but they do wake up earlier with the temptation of playing together.  Milo especially, no surprise.  It's made our morning routine more challenging but also given us some amazingly sweet moments in the cooler morning air and beautiful sunrise light.  (Yes, I said sunrise, oy.)

My sweet Milo-ey is a morning bird just like his daddy.  They are so much alike.  Meanwhile, Finley could sleep late all morning if it stayed quiet and dark, just like me, but has not wanted to nap in the warm afternoon when he could play instead.  I caved to some Sesame Street and snuggles when I was home solo and Milo needed to nap.  After all, we only have 2 rooms!
