brick by brick

The tilework started today.  I was nervous leaving for work before the materials got delivered, wanting to lay eyes on the tiles and make sure they were the right ones/pretty in person/still working for me.  But instead I waved goodbye to Jose and trusted it would all work out. 

Day 1 in the books and it looks truly fantastic.  They are pros and we're happy with the selection.  Another day to go with laying the subway tile, and then a couple hours on Wednesday for grouting.  We feel satisfied seeing these final pieces of our plan coming in, brick by brick!
